In an effort to evaluate how we can most effectively meet our mission to Build Bridges in the communities of the Intracoastal West, Redeemer will suspend our worship services at Alimacani Elementary School from June 15 - September 14. Instead our congregation will be worshiping at several different churches in North East Florida. Our goal is to build a strong PCA presence in the ICW area.

On the Wednesday night following each Sunday we will continue our weekly Fellowship Dinners where we will talk about the direction our church is heading and share in the vision established to build bridges in the ICW.

Each Sunday we will meet 1 hour prior to the above service times at the corner of Kernan Blvd. and Atlantic Blvd in the Johnnie Carrino's parking lot (Super Wal Mart plaza) to car pool to each church. Please join us.

Wednesday Nights: 6:30 pm: We will meet for dinner, fellowship, prayer and discussion. Click here to request location of Wednesday night meeting.

This schedule is subject to change so check the web site frequently for changes and updates.

For additonal information please call (904) 655-2795 or email.

Redeemer Presbyterian Church (PCA) offers a unique blend of traditional worship elements with a splash of contemporary flavor and real down home people to create a worship environment with something for nearly everyone. Our services reflect our belief that attending church should be an enjoyable, uplifting and meaningful experience that encourages you to develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. Our pastor, Toby Dubose, presents biblical truths in a way that's relevant to today and will help you grow in your walk with the Lord..

Recently our church family embarked on a journey to discover who we are and what we have to offer our friends and neighbors of the Intracoastal West communities. Through study of the scriptures, prayerful meditation and reading about what it really means to be a viable, thriving church in this modern-day world we have fashioned the following mission for ourselves:REDEEMER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IS BUILDING BRIDGES IN THE INTRACOASTAL WEST:
CULTURALLY, SOCIALLY, SPRITUALLYClick on the BLUE TEXT above to learn more about RPC and our Bridge Building Mission.

We invite you to please take some time and join us for a Sunday service or catch one of our Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinners and Bible Study. For more information or to answer any questions, please give us a call or drop us an email at rpc_toby@bellsouth.net.

No Title - Internet Accountabilit

Covenant Eyes Accountability software is the Standard for Internet Integrity with Accountability through Monitoring. The program is designed to help the people who use our software learn how to explore the Internet free from the dangers, risks, and liabilities of Internet pornography. In the process they develop Internet Integrity.

At the core of the Accountability program is the concept that a person will learn to be more careful and responsible surfing the Internet (gain Internet Integrity) if they know they are answerable or accountable for their Internet activity to one or more ‘other people.'

These ‘other people' we refer to as Accountability Partner(s). Accountability Partner(s) are selected by you usually from among the people that you already know and trust (i.e. from among friends, a spouse, relatives, a pastor, a rabbi, etc.) at the time of Signup.

There is a modest fee for the Covenent Eyes service, but the Accountability Partner(s) are charged nothing but their time and understanding.

Covenant Eyes Accountability software is easy to use. Onc e our Accountability software is installed, Covenant Eyes monitors websites visited by anyone that uses your computer. Whenever Internet access is attempted, you will be asked to log in (or they can configure it to log in automatically). Internet activity will then be monitored and recorded by our servers.

All the websites visited by your computer are scored specifically for objectionable or mature (pornographic) content and the high scoring sites are presented (in one of two formats which you choose) in an easy-to-read Accountability Report. The Accountability Report is then sent periodically to the Accountability Partner(s). Depending on the content of the Accountability Report, the Accountability Partner(s) may (or may not) decide to discuss the report with you. That is accountability!

In addition, the entire history of the websites visited by your computer is available to both you and the Accountability Partner(s) in a Detailed Browsing Log.

Both updated and specific (covering any range of dates in the last 30 days) Accountability Reports and Detailed Browsing Logs can be generated at any time (24-7) online at the Covenant Eyes Member Center for you and/or your Accountability Partner(s).

Internet access is never blocked unless your computer is not correctly logged in to the Covenant Eyes system. This safety feature allows you to block others from accessing the Internet on your computer when you are logged out.

Covenant Eyes Accountability software is effective. Covenant Eyes Accountability software can be a benefit to anyone, of any age, in any life circumstance.

Covenant Eyes Accountability software is the most effective tool for preventing Internet addictions from ever developing. Clearly, Internet addictions are easier to prevent than they are to overcome.

Just as important, accountability is a key to successful recovery for those who have an existing struggle. In fact, we have countless positive comments from Members who have experienced a dramatic improvement in their daily lives, families, work, and/or spiritual life through the use of the Covenant Eyes Accountability software.

X3watch is accountability software designed to help with online integrity. When you browse the internet and access a site which may contain questionable material, the program will record the site name. A person of your choice (an accountability partner) will receive an email containing all questionable sites you may have visited. This information is meant to encourage open and honest conversation between friends and help you be more accountable to your online adventures. Additionaly, Safe Eyes provides similar accountability features and the capability to block objectionable websites and other harmful content.

Sola Scriptura Bible is the sole written divine revelation and alone can bind the conscience of believers absolutely.

Sola Fide Justification is by faith alone. The merit of Christ imputed to us by faith is the sole ground of our acceptance by God, by which our sins are remitted.

Solus Christus Christ is the only mediator through whose work we are redeemed.

Sola Gratia Our salvation rests solely on the work of God's grace for us and in us.

Soli Deo Gloria To God alone belongs the glory.

Five Points of Calvinism - What We Believe

The historic five points of Calvinism, sometimes called the doctrines of grace and simplified in the acrostic TULIP, [T •Total depravity -- U •Unconditional election -- L •Limited atonement -- I • Irresistible grace -- P •Perseverance of the saints] are a summary of the judgments (or canons) rendered by the Synod of Dordt reflecting the Calvinist understanding of the nature of divine grace and predestination as it relates to salvation. The central assertion of the five points is that God is able to save every one of those upon whom he has mercy and that his efforts are not frustrated by the unrighteousness or the inability of humans. The points were published during the Quinquarticular Controversy as a point-by-point response to the five points of the Arminian Remonstrants, and although Calvinism is sometimes identified with the five points, they more properly function as a summary of the differences between Calvinism and Arminianism on the doctrines of grace and predestination, not as a general summary of John Calvin\'s writings, of Calvinism as a theological system, or of the theology of the Reformed churches (indeed, Calvin never fully discussed doctrines such as limited atonement in his writings, but only hinted at his opinion). The five points of Calvinism are: Total depravity Also called "radical depravity" and "total inability", this point means that every person is corrupt and sinful throughout in all of his or her faculties, including the mind and will. Thus, no person is able to do what is truly good in God\'s eyes, but rather, everyone does evil all the time. As a result of this corruption, man is enslaved to sin, rebellious and hostile toward God, blind to truth, and unable to save himself or even prepare himself for salvation. Unconditional election Election means "choice." God\'s choice from eternity, of whom he will bring to himself, is not based on foreseen virtue, merit, or faith in the persons he chooses but rather is unconditionally grounded in his own sovereign decision. This does not mean that final salvation itself is unconditional; rather, it means that, in the Calvinist view, the condition upon which salvation hinges (faith) is given to those whom God has unconditionally chosen to receive it. Limited atonement Also called "particular redemption" or "definite atonement", the doctrine of the limited atonement is the teaching that Jesus\'s atonement was definite and certain in its design and accomplishment. It teaches that the atonement was intended to render complete satisfaction for those and only those whom the Father had chosen before the foundation of the world. Calvinists do not believe that the atonement is limited in its value or power (if the Father had willed it, all the people of all generations could be saved), but rather they believe that the atonement is limited in that it is designed for some and not all. Irresistible grace Also known as "effectual grace", this doctrine does not hold that every influence of God\'s Holy Spirit cannot be resisted but that the Holy Spirit is able to overcome all resistance and make his influence irresistible and effective. Thus, when God sovereignly purposes to save someone, that individual cannot successfully resist him. Perseverance of the Saints Also called the "preservation of the saints" or "eternal security," the fifth point teaches that those whom God has called into communion with himself will continue in faith until the end. Those who apparently fall away either never had true faith to begin with or will return. This is slightly different from the "once saved, always saved" view prevalent in some evangelical churches in which, despite apostasy or unrepentant and habitual sin, the individual is truly saved if he or she had truly accepted Christ in the past; in traditional Calvinist teaching, apostasy by such a person may be proving that they never were saved.

What is the Presbyterian Church in America? - Who We Are

The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) was formed to be a denomination that is, "Faithful ot the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith and Obedient to the Great Commission."

The PCA is an Evangelical and Reformed Presbyterian denomination. By Evangelical, we mean that we emphasize the Gosel (good news of salvation) through faith in Jesus Christ, as well as affirming other orthodox Christian doctrines and holding to the inerrancy of scripture.

By Reformed, we mean that we are connected to the teachings of the historic church and the doctrinal beliefs recovered by the Reformation. These doctrinal beliefs are expressed in the Westminster COnfession of Faith with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms. All officers in the PCA must personally sibscribe to and uphold the teachings of the Westminster Confession of Faith.

By Presbyterian, we describe our representative form of church government. Local Churches are governed by a "Session" of "presbyters" (elders), elcted by the members of the congregation. Representatives of local churches within a geographical area compose a "presbytery." Representatives of presbyteries meet annually at "General Assembly." Thus, through the combined efforts and resources of all of the churches, we are enabled to advance God's Kingdom much more effectively. The COmmittees and Agencies of the PCA help lead this Kingdon work.

Just Checking in - Entire Church Group

A minister passing through his church in the middle of the day, Decided to pause by the altar and see who had come to pray. Just then the back door opened, a man came down the aisle. The minister frowned as he saw the man hadn't shaved in a while. His shirt was kind a shabby and his coat was worn and frayed, the man knelt, he bowed his head, Then rose and walked away. In the days that followed, At noon each day this chap came in and each time he knelt just for a moment, A lunch pail in his lap. Well, the minister's suspicions grew, with robbery a main fear, He decided to stop the man and ask him, "What are you doing here?" The old man said, he worked down the road. Lunch was half an hour. Lunchtime was his prayer time, For finding strength and power. "I stay only moments, see, Because the factory is so far away; as I kneel here talking to the Lord, This is kind of what I say: "I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY." The minister feeling foolish, told Jim, that was fine. He told the man he was welcome To come and pray just anytime. Time to go, Jim smiled, said "Thanks." He hurried to the door The minister knelt at the altar, he'd never done it before. His cold heart melted, warmed with love, and met with Jesus there. As the tears flowed, in his heart, he repeated old Jim's prayer: "I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY." Past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Jim hadn't come. As more days passed without Jim, he began to worry some. At the factory, he asked about him, learning he was ill. The hospital staff was worried, but he'd given them a thrill. The week that Jim was with them, brought changes in the ward. His smiles, a joy contagious. Changed people, were his reward. The head nurse couldn't understand why Jim was so glad, when no flowers, calls or cards came, not a visitor he had. The minister stayed by his bed, He voiced the nurse's concern: No friends came to show they cared. He had nowhere to turn. Looking surprised, old Jim spoke up and with a winsome smile; "the nurse is wrong, she couldn't know, that in here all the while everyday at noon He's here, a dear friend of mine, you see, He sits right down, takes my hand, Leans over and says to me: "I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN. ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY, I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY, AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKING IN TODAY."

Gulf Region Hurricane Relief - Call for Additional Workers - Disaster Relief

Relief work is continuing at a strong pace at five PCA worksites in the gulf, but additional workers are needed. Please make renewed efforts to keep volunteers coming in August and into the fall. Volunteers with repair and rebuilding skills are especially needed, but everyone with willing hearts is welcome. Please keep the needs of the gulf region as well as future disaster needs foremost in your outreach planning.

Let's take advantage of the opportunity to serve brothers and sisters in Christ, and assist them in outreach in their communities.

Even though almost a year has passed since hurricane Katrina rushed ashore in southern Mississippi & Louisiana, our PCA family response continues on a steady pace, and we are praying that zeal will continue through the remainder of 2006 and beyond. To date, we estimate that at least 10,000 PCA volunteers have been mobilized to offer assistance to the communities, churches and people impacted by the storm. As long as PCA churches and presbyteries supply resources (volunteers and finances), MNA will continue to coordinate help. Please plan your involvement as far in advance as possible. I thank God for your faithfulness. Be encouraged as you serve in this way for..."we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10 Jim Bland, MNA Coordinator

For details - host churches, types of workers needed, contact information - go to: www.pca-mna.org. To register to volunteer, you can follow the link to MNA ShortTerm Volunteer Registration or contact Kaamilya McCullough at 678-294-3012.
